We Build the HotScore

Each model gets a 0–100 score from four transparent inputs: Amazon rank, average rating, review volume, and niche signals such as quiet operation or app control.

No product ranking is ever influenced by a brand's payment. We prioritize the feline experience over corporate marketing budgets.

What Is the HotScore?

Every model is scored with the same four-part formula. No black box, no paid placement — you can reproduce any score yourself.

  • Amazon Rank (up to 100): (11 − category rank) × 10 — how high the model sits in its Amazon category.
  • Customer Rating (up to 60): average star rating × 12.
  • Review Volume (up to 40): number of customer ratings ÷ 80.
  • Niche Signals (up to +20): +10 for verified "quiet / low-noise" positioning, +10 for app / WiFi / smart features.

The raw total (0–200) is halved for display, so every score you see is shown out of 100.
